An Introduction

  • Series: General
  • Date: July 01, 2009

Greetings and welcome to Sharon’s Corner...

Our web genie, Gena, told me that this is my little piece of David’s World and I could write anything I wanted...I’m just not sure what it is I want to write!!!

I guess first I should introduce myself, in case anyone out there reading this doesn’t know who I am...

Starting with the basics...

Name: Sharon Rice-Weber. Mrs. Weber is David’s mother, my name is Sharon.

Age: None of your...em...err...younger than David!

Date of birth: See previous statement. My family has been in SC since late 1700's...so I guess that makes me a true Southerner! I have been everything from a swim instructor to a computer programmer... I met David while working in a book store. I bought one of his first books out, gave him his first author’s signing, and got him invited to his first con (and back the next year, even after they had met him!). We have been married 11 (long...err...great) years. We have two beautiful daughters, Megan and Morgan, and one son, Michael Paul. The girls are twins (age 7) and were born in Cambodia...they came home to us at 15 months. Mikey Paul is 6 and was a IVF baby. So all three are our miracles, and are the reason I put up with....err....I mean...love David so much! We have 6 dogs, 2 cats and three kids all in one house...yes, 6 house dogs! We also have Gena (the afore mentioned web genie and all-around grown-up of the house) and Lindsey ( the nanny who can keep up with the kids and tries to keep with David and me!) We couldn’t make it without them! I’m called the husband herder, calendar-keeper and chief Night Time Monster Killer.

I guess that’s about it...if you have any questions about the care and feeding of an author or any of the behind the books scenes just let me know! You can send me e-mails at admin@davidweber.net - Maybe then I will know what to write about!

Thanks for coming!
