The Great Redshirt Hunt

Authors have many ways of thanking and recognizing their fans. One of David's favorite things is to use the fan's name in his current novel. If the fan's character survives the encounter, this is called a "tuckerization". If the outcome is fatal for the fan's character, this is called a "red shirt".
