there is a small colony at White Haven.

My speculated colony location are, the Protectors
Palace, Mount Royal Palace, and eventually Beowulf.
Treecat interaction with Beowulf foxbears presents
all sorts of intriguing possibilities.

You forgot Picard Tower in Nuevo Paris. Or Fontorac Falls Park

I must say that I considered something along the lines of this intriguing possibility as well. As far back when the crew were marooned on Hades. I worried that Nimitz was going to find out that he wasn't exactly at the top of the food chain in the brush.

Magnify that thought as a whole treecat species relocated on a planet with predators far more dangerous than a puma.

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

A Hexapuma is at the top of the food chain on Sphinx except when the treecats have a mass attack.

Humans are the most deadly predators anywhere.
