Certainly deeply within energy range.
The problem with Honorverse space battles for a film/visual medium (even if i actually prefer it myself) is that even ships in formation are hundreds if not thousands of kilometers apart especially when in a wall of battle. And since combat ranges steadily increase throughout the story, its likely that some major scaling down of fleet combat ranges will be required to make a successful transition to the screen. Star Wars and Star trek get away with it but I don't think the fans here would agree with Battle of Corescant style ranges in the Honorverse.
I think there's a strong possibility that missiles might be tossed out, minimised or get a delayed introduction in any film/tv medium. The selling point of the Honorverse is basically Hornblower in Space... and one of the best ways to evoke that kind of imagery is of two ships in visual range, blazing away at each other with broadsides.
That's not my desire, that's my assessment of the film industry. They need something with the wow factor, if only for the ads/trailers. They also can't afford to waste screen time showing the bridge crew sweating for seven minutes as they wait for a missile salvo to reach them. So combat has to be massively accelerated and the way to do that is by reducing range.
The TV battles will be fought the way the Solarian League wanted them to be. With crews mooning each other as the grasers recharge. And when one of the enemy ships blow up, everyone's deck will shake from the blast wave. Odds are ten to one(not one to ten!) we'll hear "Ramming speed!" at some point - even if the grav lance doesn't becomes a literal lance.
