See Fifth Imperium for snippets. Sample chapters are available at Baen Ebooks. As for why they weren't posted here, no idea. A Call to Arms is out now in hardcover and ebook format. -------------------------------------------------------------

I think they are also posted in Eric Flint's snippets, see here: http://www.ericflint.net/index.php/cate ... ersnippet/

Snippets were also posted on Baen's Bar, some 34 of them.

Yup, I saw them on Buckley's site, and wondered why on earth they were not here on the main site.....
Wondered if it had any contractual issues or some such. _________

This is odd. I have just read all the current snippets but realised that I had read them in the past. Moroever I can distinctly remember reading to the end of the battle with the Volsungs, but these current snippets stop far short of that. Was more available elsewhere? - I dont ever get earcs either. |

We first met Travis Long in Timothy Zahn's short story A Call to Arms from the 2013 anthology Beginnings. Then a Prequel novel A Call to Duty was published, followed this year by a full novel of A Call to Arms. That earlier short story featured some of the fight with the Volsungs (but skipped over the later parts of it). You're probably remembering the fight from there. |
