(Mad Wizard Minions - feel free to chime in.)

Dear Evergreen,
Actually this particular note is probably more of a Director anti-suggestion.

I just spent a dime or two to take the wife, also a fan, to see Trans4 on Friday.

The previous I watched Trans3 (via On Demand) in preparation, as I had never seen it.

Now, I rather enjoyed Trans1, and was OK with Trans2.

However, after seeing the most recent two within the last week, I am reinforced and crystalized in a vague opinion that had been developing for a year or so.

Please, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you attach Michael Bay to direct ToH: Honor of the Queen.

The last two Transformer movies were logical messes...and that seems to be a pretty consistant characteristic of his films, too much action not enough character and plot.

Thanks for your attention.

All you other 20 year fans, weigh in here. This is actually a lot more important decision than who to cast for the lead or major secondaries.

PS - I know you can't get Joss Whedon, but maybe he could recommend some young director HE likes? <grin>

Might I suggest Jonathan Frakes? The man did, after all, direct Star Trek: First Contact. :D

I would also like to nominate Kenneth Branagh, aka "that Shakespeare guy who directed Thor and was awesome at it"; and Joss Whedon, aka "that Firefly guy who directed The Avengers (and was awesome at it)".

"I spend fifteen minutes"

I admire your willpower, sir.

You must have set some kind of record on that turnaround time right there, tvtropes will ruin your life. (Or at least the rest of the afternoon if my experience is anything to go by. )
