Can you imagine a human mother being able to communicate with her unborn child? She'd be a puddle of tears.

My wife definitely would. She would get all excited and teary eyed when our son would move and kick saying "he's kicking me! look!" "...Oh! He's kicking me! What do I do?" My response. " Well, kick him back." She giggles, laughs then hits me. o.O Whaaaa? I'm not the one that kicked!?! Whatever, as my wife goes back to rubbing her belly and talking to our son.

Definitely a puddle of tears. I would be too (while cradling  my arm  )

I didn't realize cats even liked doughnuts. :P

After this one horse I knew that liked hot dogs, I am beyond being surprised by what animals will and won't eat.

That is hillarious Yow! I am cracking up. I can only imagine what you are going through. I went through it all with three of my five sisters. They become even more emotional during pregnancy. And every kick is a reason fo throw a formal dinner party, replete with cummerbuns, bowties, pantaloons and hoop skirts!

Kick him back. Best darn strategy I've heard yet!!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Horse: jellyfish
Cat: bread (I imagine this includes doughnuts), vegetable soup (yes, to include celery)
Dogs: grass, poop, anything

My nieces' Palomino likes fresh crabcakes. But they have to be fresh or he won't eat them. She treats him to an apple and a crabcake.

We must allow them to realize how clever we truly are, and even those of the People who do not bond to humans must learn to live among them.

May we take this to mean that the treecats probably could have learned to sign all along, but were holding back? Sandbagging to all of you Spade, Hearts and Bid Whist players.

Is this palomino by any chance a Quarter Horse?

One of my humans has something; therefore it might be worth having (though their judgement is often wrong). The human hasn't thought to give it to me; therefore direct action is called for.

Imagined conversation:
Admiral [noting yet another Manty tech surprise]:
XO, what's the budget for the ONI?
Vice Admiral: I don't recall exactly, sir. Several billion quatloos.
Admiral: ... What do you suppose they did with all that money?

No, definitely not. The text makes it quite clear that it took over a century for treecats to even begin learning the rudiments of twoleg spoken language. They probably would have been able to learn sign language quite a while before this, but there hadn't been an attempt for three hundred years. When the last attempt was made, they could not learn it.

I do not think Dances on Clouds realizes even now how much like one of the People she is, for she tastes Laughs Brightly's mind glow almost as one of the People would.

The Harrington Clan is special.
