Every time she runs out of arrows, she takes a couple of hours off, runs away and makes some new ones.

That is entirely unfair and entirely true. :P

Speaking of the great Sir Horace - Horace Harkness and Iris Babcock. I still need to know how that happened!!

Well, we know that they first encountered each other (at least semi-formally, I don't recall if SGM Babcock was on Fearless (CL) at Basilisk station,) during the Summervale raid, where her first words to Horace were so romantic:

"Next time, bring a goddamned drum and bugle band along!"

But I concur most heartily, I would dearly love to hear about the courtship and marriage of those two.

The bachelor party/ladies night prior to the wedding must be stuff of legends (at least to the Landing City Police Department, the Shore Patrol, and probably several Regular Army units called in as backup.... :o

...you win.

That courtship is begging for a short story dedicated to it. Or, hell, possibly an entire novel. I mean, only Horace Harkness can look at a girl, think, 'wow, she could rip me limb from limb', and have that be the reason he falls in love with her. I mean, come on! It's just crying out to be told!

Danger, Will Robinson! I am never out of arrows - but I save them for the "Cupid" thread. :D

In the meantime: Lester and Honor. The mutual respect, the kindness, the real regard for each other - more of that relationship, please!!

You were either held too much as a baby or not enough!

No one said Honor and Nimitz!???

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

Au contraire, ma petite! You can blame the fact that I first discovered Harlequin romance novels at the tender age of thirteen and have been manufacturing Cupid's arrows ever since.

Excuse you. That is entirely unfair and gross libel.

The fact that it is true is beside the point.

(Besides, it may make me a not-insignificant amount of money someday. Totally worth it. :D )

Harlequin romance?
Oh no. :o
ALL of my sisters have tons of those things squirreled away in footlockers.

And the one sister is concerned that her 12 year-old daughter has discovered her stash!

Even I like them!
