War final objective? Which front is main axis's of advance?

Well, IMO Cayleb's public policy is "if you're part of the Charisian Empire, you must end serfdom".

But that's different from a "public policy of serfdom must end everywhere on Safehold".

I doubt that both Charis and the Republic combined could "force" everybody to end serfdom.

What might happen, after peace breaks out, is that Charis and the Republic would institute a "most favored nation trade policy" for nations that ended serfdom.

His actions to abolish that institution suggests that ceteris paribus, Cayleb will foster policies that lead to abolishing serfdom and slavery where ever he has authority to implement those policies. I believe that tendency of his will be noticed by anyone with eyes to see the dawn, ears to hear canon fire and a brain slightly more effective than porridge.

Will that by itself cause disruption to those societies forced to deal with Charis in the future? Perhaps.

That makes sense. I wonder if Cayleb will issue some proclamation that provides for safe haven/sanctuary for serfs or slaves that make it to one of his ships or any Charisian embassy? Perhaps he will assert that wherever the Charisian flag flies, no slave or serf is bound by any laws that govern those institutions. Any nation that has issues with that can take it up with a squadron or two of King Haaralds or the successors. That would be a kicker!

Yep, Policy of "if a serf/slave reaches Charis/Republic territory, he/she is free even if the "territory" is a Charis/Republic flagged rowboat".

Come to think of it, I wonder if seamstresses will have lots of work creating the Charisian flag for every fishing boat that wants to avoid paying customs on the Gulf of Dohlar once peace breaks out? I suspect that enough vessels will be legally registered Charisian ships to make the phoney's claim a credible one to customs personnel.

We know there have been serf/peasant revolts before in harchong, but now htere are seijin to involve themselves. SAy that potetnail rebeliions get supplied weaponry to even the odds.
At the very least, they would be times of opportunity for things to be done.
