I would like to thank those who mentioned Madam C.J. Walker. I had not heard of her previously but am filled with admiration for the example she set :) . (on the other hand, this is the earliest report I have seen of multi-level marketing :cry: :) )

Her brands are still available today. Says something both about her products and her marketing strategy.
