I won't be surprised if Jaruwalski get a squadron commander, she was umpire in a lot of simulations and she was helping with designing and planning new operations, so she has a lot of experience in tactics and strategy.
I don't remember were it was but after Honor made her changes to ATC the first lord (I forgot the name sorry) was saying how much the navy got out of having everyone work on allied tech and with ally personnel. The RHN has a talented officer corp that can give Honor new ideas especially considering how flexible they had to be to work around RMN tech advantages.
It's far more than that where Haven is concerned - forcing Manticoran/Grayson and Havenite military personnel to work together, side by side, in the same chain of command, is the quickest glue I can think of for the Grand Alliance, and that alliance needs glue
fast. We can already see the top levels of command gelling beautifully - Honor and Tom Theisman, Eloise and Elizabeth, Shannon and Sonja, Lester and Honor - but the ranks are going to have a harder time, particularly when they
don't know Havenites personally the way Elizabeth, Honor, Hamish, Sonja, etc. now do. Having the two navies work intertwined will hammer home faster than anything else that opponents are human beings too, and will force the rank-and-file to see their erstwhile enemies
as human beings - as people they could like, and become friends with, and perhaps even
marry - and that is what will hold the Alliance fast in the face of the Solarian League and Mesa. A shared enemy is a start, but teamwork will set the seal.
